How Hypnosis Works
Hypnosis is a centuries old form of alternative therapy. In fact, you've probably already experienced a hynotic state while doing everyday activities such as getting lost in a book or driving to a destination and wondering how you got there.
Recognized by both the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association in 1958, hypnosis is simply a state of focused concentration that results in a state of heightened suggestibility.
Hypnosis is useful for almost every aspect of life. Hypnosis is commonly used for stopping bad habits like smoking, overeating and excessive worry. In addition, self confidence, mental focus, coping with stressful situations, athletic performance, test anxiety, sales presentations, public speaking and creativity can all be influenced positively through the use of hypnotic suggestion.
Hypnosis also compliments medical treatments leading to better control of pain and headaches, improving immune function (through decreased stress), reduction of symptoms of IBS, and improving compliance with medical recommendations.*

What is a Session Like?
During a hynosis session you won't see a swinging watch. That's for entertainment andan unfortunate portrayal of hypnotists.
Instead, you'll undoubtedly feel very relaxed but never 'asleep'. We'll get you to focus on your goal and what is holding you back from achieving 'better', whether that be to quit smoking, weightloss, fears or performance. During this focused deep dive into goal roadblocks we'll look at strong alternative responses. The things you've learned in the past that are causing problems or roadblocks will be replaced with new, stronger goals. That is the secret to hypnosis: Replacing past learned responses with new, stronger responses - such as the desire to live healtheir vs. the craving of snack foods if, for example, your goal is to loose weight.
So forget about what you've seen on TV or stage shows. It's not scary. True hypnosis, especially 5-Path® hypnosis, is a relaxed but powerful way to start your path to 'better'!
